Yep. High school teacher here. Already telling students to temper their expectations of that January 21 target date. I don’t see how it happens because I too saw the Halloween driveway parties and know people will be getting together with families indoors for thanksgiving and Christmas. We absolutely refuse to take this seriously enough to really open schools it seems. [/quote]

We were a driveway party. It was only with people in our existing daycare and digital day camp pod. News flash--it is possible to gather safely if precautions are taken (just like all of the private schools locally are doing). Don't assume that any gathering of people is to blatantly disregard COVID risk. The three families in our driveway party all shares the same degree of exposure and didn't (and don't) expand beyond that circle. [/quote]

Just had to clarify that not ALL driveway parties are held with blatant disregard for COVID risk, since the original statement painted them with such a broad generalization. Some people are tired of the very real Karen police making it an issue if they perceive you are not aligned with their COVID protocols. [/quote]
