My office is about a block from the White House. The firm management is shutting down the office and telling everyone to stay home Tuesday-Thursday. Plywood has come up on the ground floor of the building. If Trump loses, I don’t think there will be any issues. If he wins, there will be riots.
If Trump loses, and he continues to demand that the election be decided the next day or before ballots can be legally and completely counted, I’m sure that his “poll watchers” will not be gentle in their response. It’s easy to imagine Trump fanning the flames — since there will be no costs to him for doing so. While I don’t know how many people meeting this description will actually be in the DC area, I can imagine that it might be a few — particularly since they may have had options to vote by mail — before coming to support their Fuhrer. I hope I’m wrong, though.
