Is it me or does everything she does look pretty much the same? Not really impressed.
She didn't even finish an associate's degree in interior design at community college, let alone go to design school. The lack of exposure to real design training shows. You don't know what you don't know.
I don’t care if she went to school or not but I would like examples of where a lack of design training showed... please share! As a design junkie I would love to go back through with your notes in hand.
There is a Miles Redd Greenwich house in the current Veranda that overflows with design knowledge and it is absolutely hideous imo and I often like his houses. So design knowledge and training is not everything. I do think the projects on the show all kind of look the same and they are just bleh. Every house gets the same palette and furniture and array of baskets and bad pottery no matter it’s location or architectural style. That house is LA was so cool and they made it look just like a McMansion in Utah. They just kind of all look the same. And like, in one bathroom she put an old timber beam on the ceiling. But wtf is it doing there? It’s a brand new house! It just makes no sense. But it’s a brand so I guess it’s good that it’s consistent.
