https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/education/thomas-jefferson-high-admissions-change/2020/10/07/0a1f8faa-08a7-11eb-9be6-cf25fb429f1a_story.html I am sad today. The era of the Eastern Seaboard public magnets is coming to the end.
We have friends who have had their child prepping for the exam for about 4 years. I thought it was insane.
We went to a prepping place with DD and took the evaluation test. She was in 6th grade and got almost everything right. The prep center said she didn't need to take classes and told us to keep on doing what we have been doing. Khan academy. She is now studying SATs on her own. Don't understand what all this fuss about prepping is about.
Same here. My kid took SAT mock test in a prep center and they told me she did not need to take the class. My kid loves to read and write and do competition math. Her math score on mock SAT was 760 without studying SAT at all.
