TJ's stated purpose as a governor's school is to meet the needs of the gifted. If you feel that the gifted's needs can be met in regular high schools, feel free to argue so, but I don't believe FCPS highschools as a whole are setup for original research, nor teaching courses generally covered in college. You could make the argument to just have FCPS give these kids free money to go take classes at NOVA or GMU instead to meet their gifted needs and shut down TJ if you meet certain criteria.[/quote]
