Dogs are much better.[/quote] I think dog houses smell worse than cat houses, but I’m a cat person. Yes, litter boxes can be gross, but cats are fastidious about cleaning themselves regularly. OP, I have top-entry litter boxes that I think help a little bit. Since the opening’s on the top, the smells won’t get picked up in a cross breeze. Other than that, just scoop it out religiously, thoroughly clean with bleach water once a week and don’t use “natural” cat litter. It’s like natural deodorant—it just doesn’t do the trick.[/quote]
