If that means that I use my ex's address even if custody is no 50/50, that's what I'm doing.
You might also go to jail and face very heavy fines. Stop teaching your children that it is all right to lie.
Jail? Come on. You sound like an idiot.
new poster here No, it has happened https://www.msn.com/en-us/tv/celebrity/homeless-mom-sentenced-to-5-years-in-prison-for-using-friend-s-address-to-enroll-son-in-school/ar-AAHkV4W
You can also go to jail if your child doesn't go to school. Kamala Harris enforced this as a da You should be able to get a change in school assignment. Most schools prefer kids to not change during the school year anyway, and high schools don't like it. There will be no bus transportation
Again, stop bullying the OP. Kamala Harris was and is severely criticized for prosecuting parents of delinquent kids. No one thinks that is the answer to kids who are not attending school. OP is not talking about having her kids NOT attend school. Stop fear-mongering. Shame on you. OP - you cannot get a change of school assignment from one school district to another, usually just between schools within the same school district. Bwahahah... everyone who works in a high-absentee rate school wishes the parents would be sent to jail. They are worthless and make mountains of work for all of us. Welcome to MCPS.
Ugh. You are a prime example of the terrible, racist, discriminatory teaching and administrating that exists in MCPS. Treat people like humans and help them with their problems that are making them not attend school. I say this as a parent of a child who rarely attended a full day of school in jr and Sr year of HS. DC could have attended more but MCPS was not compliant with disability/accommodation law and repeated violated privacy obligations, causing school alienation. Our story is common.
