No one thinks that is the answer to kids who are not attending school. OP is not talking about having her kids NOT attend school. Stop fear-mongering. Shame on you. OP - you cannot get a change of school assignment from one school district to another, usually just between schools within the same school district. COSA - which is what it’s called in MCPS, is typically only valid for a year or until the next matriculation point and is only available for unusual circumstances. (Divorce, childcare, my kids friends go to this school, etc. are not “unusual” circumstances.) MCPS is not going after students and making them count how many days in a year they live with one parent or the other - as long as one parent is living in the school catchment. [/quote]
