We are in Western Fairfax County and High Schoolers, particularly non-driving ones get at most $10/hour. Upper HS/College w/car is $15.
I'm guessing it means the babysitter with the car can drive the kids places, so s/he gets paid more. Or the person doesn't have to pick them up and drop them off for the babysitting gig.
Reliable transportation means the babysitter isn’t asking the parent they’re babysitting for for a ride.
+1. Unless a back up or a mid-day event on a weekend I am not interested in babysitters who are not autonomous and need parental permission, etc. Its worth the extra $2-3 bucks an hour
Uhh you did +1 but I literally said the exact opposite of what you said. My niece who passed the license test but is essentially incapable of driving independently “drives” to her babysitting jobs but really her parent drives and parks far away the whole time. She’s never had a snag in this so far.
