I did not know this. With my two previous pregnancies I tested early. Lines were light and then got darker when I tested a few days later. I did have spotting throughout my first trimester with both pregnancies so I do know that it is highly possible to be pregnant and have spotting at the same time. I did have a chemical pregnancy once.. in my twenties. It was unplanned.. period was a week late but with no spotting. I tested and got a faint positive. But then 10 days letter I started bleeding for real and there were clots of blood. When I asked my doctor about it she told me that I probably had a chemical pregnancy. [/quote]
