Sweet Red Poppy on YouTube has reviewed some mask types. But one thing to watch is the way she attaches it with a head loop not ear loops. Makes it easy to pull off your face and let it hang around your neck. And I agree with her that the 3D mask is the most comfortable. https://youtu.be/RQdXXlp6nSI
I actually just bought my 4 year old a few different kinds that I had to modify. The ear loop ones are the easiest for her to get on, though I admittedly don't tell her she can't touch the mask itself. I thought the ones that tie in the back would be more comfortable for full day use, but they really have to be retied each time or are too loose to stay on, so they just weren't practical. I swapped out the ties with elastic bands that go around the head and she struggled for a while with getting them on. Some of it is the hair, so ponytail or short hair would definitely be easier, but some of it is just getting the top band in the right spot on the head. Out of laziness I didn't get around to modifying them again to make ear loops, so she eventually got used to it, and I do think the around the head ones are more comfortable for full day use, but they're still a bit of a challenge to put on (and often her hair is all crazy and pushed up around it, but she's four so who cares about that).
