Still trying to move to a house with a yard for the kids and a guest room and second bathroom so one of us could try to quarantine away from tue others if we had to. This market is crazy though. I think the big wild card is how long our employers are willing to give us the incredibly helpful amount of telework and schedule flexibility they have so far. I am not sure they anticipated this dragging on past the summer. If there is another shutdown but our employers say "that's enough guys, back to work," it's a whole new problem.
My spouse was in an RV for two months (ICU worker). I am dreading if that happens again.
That seems really excessive to do again (now that we know a bit more) unless you or the kids are high risk. Five close friends, my brother and my godmother all worked hands on with COVID patients (nurses, a physician and a radiology tech) and every single one confidently went home to their families after their shifts. And I live in one of the states that was hardest hit in the spring. With proper PPE and basic hygiene there is no reason for medical staff to self-isolate.
