They are definitely predicting. Here is the thing.........travel softball and baseball have both been playing tournaments for almost a month.I understand they are different games, but the point here is that there are tournaments going on across the state. While I think travel to events further away may be an issue, I would be shocked if local games and tournaments are not played in August. Of course on DCUM you are going to have plenty of people who want to cry wolf or post "clickbait" type titles to rile people up........[/quote]

Yep Travel baseball going super well.

Tournament in South Carolina Myrtle Beach last weekend. Teams from Florida came. Teams infected. Teams they played infected. Wonderful idea, get those kids out and play!!!

Friends son 16 in hospital as he was already infected prior to going hence his hospitalization seems quick, it's not. He was at a Florida lake party with four other families two weeks before going to the tournament.  All of those people have the virus now.

I agree with you on these examples.  Would like to see people exercise better judgement.  But on whether soccer games should be allowed in Virginia in the Fall, I would ask you to consider a few things:

1. No government restriction can likely prevent private gatherings or parties like this Florida lake party or the Loudoun HS beach week 
2. Also hard for Virginia to block out of state tournaments but allowing local games with guidelines against tournaments could reduce interest in these riskier events.  Perhaps allowing outdoor sports while guiding against indoor sports could direct people in a safer direction.
3. Taking a hard line abstinence only approach has high costs and I am not sure it accomplishes that much.  Basically you put tight restrictions on all the rule followers and make them miserable while creating a lot of rule breakers.[/quote]
