There's also the fact that if you have a computer doesn't guarantee internet. I've lived in countries where entire swatches don't have public electric or water access. Columbia would be a great example of this.

The 'elites' live in gated, guarded neighborhoods and communities with full-time generations etc. But if the hardline for the internet is cut, you're still screwed.

And PP -- you can go to parts of Alabama and West Virginia today where locals don't have internet access because the companies just don't see the point of extending bandwidth or lines for what amounts to 5 houses over 250 acres.[/quote]
