It’s not racist, it’s just very, very stupid. I would ignore it. The same way I ignore everyone who names their child London or BROOKLYN. they are all towns or suburbs, just let it go.
 Eh, Brooklyn and London are fine. Why so worked up, PP? The mayor of San Francisco is London Breed. There are lots of Brooklyns. I know someone named Dayton and think it sounds great. You have an issue with people being named after...cities? So you hate Winona Ryder's name too? I have to laugh at all the useless judgement on this thread. My late mom had friends, born about 100 years ago now, who were named -- I swear it's true -- Asia and India. If you get worked up about London or Brooklyn, your head would explode at meeting an Asia or an India, PP. How would you cope?! Nope, family was not Asian or Indian in any sense of either word. Parents just liked the thought of travel and wanted memorable, pretty names. Would be told it wasn't appropriate to name two white girls those names today, of course. I should repeat for the DCUMers who don't read posts thoroughly: These were names of two women born in around 1920. Just noting that "strange" names that posters here love to hate are not exactly unique to today. The names of some of my relatives (Tomzilla is just one) would raise eyebrows now but didn't back in the 1900-1930 era. People now don't realize that not everyone was named Elizabeth or William back then.....
