Middle of July. And it needs to fricking hurry up. I don't know how much longer my husband and I can keep helping family. Plus my husband lost his job and there isn't going to be a going back to that. Since we got a small severance his applying for unemployment was for nothing. Apparently $46,000 makes you unqualified for any relief. It's stressful carrying so many burdens. Lots of people are suffering. You just never hear about them.
The Senate is on leave for the entirety of the middle of July -- so definitely not. They're on vacation from July 3rd - 17th. So yeah...not happening.
So the Senate is going to go on vacation then declare $600/week is over for the unemployed? Will be interesting to see how they handle a depression economy in August with only a few months before the election.
They're talking about writing a bill and passing it between the 18th - 31st of July. But it sounds ridiculous. If I wrote a thesis in college in a week I'd get a failing grade. The Senate does it and its fine. We'll see if they can even do it. It wouldn't make sense to me for them to NOT pass it and then try to do something new in August/September. The 50 states worked hard to sync their systems to the new unemployment payout system; won't go over well to have to redo it because they passed a new bill with new regulations.
