DH said watching another Disney movie won’t damage our 3yo. We did puzzles, rode bikes, read books, colored, played house and everything else I could think of. That got us to lunch. Pre pandemic, she would go to preschool, meet up for play dates, go on outings, eat out. Now we just watch Disney +. Please tell me that watching Disney+ all afternoon is ok. We did do a lot this past weekend like go cherry picking and go to a drive thru zoo.
No, OP, it’s not okay. Binges like this are really bad for young kids. Space out his screentime more. I’m sorry - I am as stressed as everyone with kids and working from home but I can’t give the okay to letting a three year old watch tv all afternoon.
Wow! You are brave, PP! You know you’re going to get flamed, right? I happen to agree with you but there are two things on DCUM parenting you can never go against: TV and daycare. The posters here will rip you to shreds if you ever say anything negative about their young kids watching hours of tv. Even when the OP asked your opinion you never ever give your honest opinion if the question is about tv or daycare.
