Lap swim isn’t the only form of exercise and exercise is allowed in VA phase 2. [/quote] Whether or not it's true may be pool specific. At my pool in Fairfax County, only lap swim is allowed and they're only allowing two swimmers/lane even though the guidelines would permit three. Those two swimmers can be family members if you reserve both spots, but you must be lap swimming and maintain the required 10' distance while doing so. So a parent cannot be teaching/helping a non-swimming child under the current guidelines our Board has issued. Sitting on deck is allowed (you have to bring your own chairs) and you don't have to have a lap lane reservation for that, just a reservation to enter the club for the two hour session, and on deck families may sit together and only need to social distance from other groups.[/quote]
