In Virginia, I'd say GMU is often underrated by NoVa kids because it is in their back yard.  I also think W&M gets discounted by some too easily recently. [/quote]

This is 100% true.  Based on the faculty and such, it should be a premier school in VA, on par with VT...but most NOVA kids do not want to go there...[/quote]

This might have been true in the 80s but is certainly no longer true.  Also GMU can not be beat for job placement.  My DS had a full-time job offer in his chosen career before he graduated.  He is out two years now and helps other GMU students move into his company.
