Wow that is outrageous- stealing PPE from frontline workers who are treating Covid patients. Who would do that?
But I thought it was well reported that the reason the guidance in March did not stress masks was because of the shortage of PPE and the need to ensure medical personnel had access to them. Doctors in VA hospitals were given one mask to last a week. Some VA personnel were not given anything. Crazy.  If the government had maintained stockpiles of PPE we would not have needed to issue that guidance back then   Having said that the CDC has been sidelined to a large extent during this public health crisis
