My kid with a major immune issues has worn a mask for day long visits to the hospital since he was tiny, for things like hospital visits.  We basically trained him by putting on the mask and doing something really fun, usually reading a book in an animated manner because that was his thing, and then when he touched the masks, we'd stop.  Close the book, and wait silently for him to lower his hands.  If we needed to put the mask back on we would.  As soon as he wasn't touching it and it was on, we'd start the fun thing again.

I think this illustrates how difficult it will be to get an entire class of little kids to wear a mask for the entire day. There will have been varying degrees of training by the parents and I don’t want the teachers to be spending the entire time dealing with mask compliance.

We have a couple different style masks for our 4yo but she has curly hair and it’s been a struggle getting her to keep it on. The elastic over the ear type does not really stay over her little ears it the kind that ties around her head doesn’t stay secure enough and slips down too.[/quote]
