Hmm. I saw that Arlington did this too. The link says all camps https://parks.arlingtonva.us/programs/summer-camps/ It mentions contracting contractors for refunds. We booked with someone that is listed in the Arlington catalogue but I am not sure if that means it is included in the cancellation. I initially registered for them before I even knew they were in the Arlington catalogue.
All camps in Arlington by Park and Rec programs are cancelled.
Amanda from Golden Boot Soccer here. I hope the info I can provide is helpful, whether your child was registered for underwater basketweaving or intermediate chicken polo. Sadly, PP, all camps in the Arlington Parks & Rec catalog are cancelled, whether they were run by Arlington staff or third-party businesses like ours. It's been a tough day for families, I know. We've been in contact with the hard-working Parks & Rec staff and everyone's disappointed but agrees that the kids' safety comes first. OP, I'm afraid your camp won't run as planned, because your vendor won't be able to use Arlington facilities. I recommend you contact them to ask about options; with luck, they might have other locations still open, or a virtual camp they can offer. Otherwise, a good camp should offer an open-ended credit.
