A lot of people on Reddit are speculating they will definitely sell within a year or two. Apparently if they wait two years they can avoid capital gains taxes. I agree with a lot of the other criticism here. I think the house has a poor layout, and it also has a lot of serious damage that they did not realize when they purchased it – extensive water damage, probably mold, and the septic system was all messed up and the house had not been lived in for years.

And they paid a lot of money for it. It just doesn’t make sense, they had a beautiful home in Richmond, their family and the kids friends are there, and they moved to this tiny house near the beach. I feel bad for their kids losing that proximity to friends and family. Ones bedroom is a laundry closet [/quote]

Their business is renovating and flipping houses and blogging about it.  If they stay, they lose their income.[/quote]
