Wow this is good to know about HT. I work downtown DC and my husband works in VA. We were going to enroll our child in the K3 class for next school year, but decided to keep him in daycare for another year because he is thriving where he is. As it stands, we decided to enroll our child in the pre-k4 class the following school year. After hearing about HT in this manner, we are now reconsidering. We would love to send him to a non-religious private school but we live in Upper Marlboro so FCS is out of the question and sending him to school in Anne Arundel wouldn’t make sense for our commute. Does anyone know anything about Excellence Christian School?
I'm in Upper Marlboro as well. I live around the corner from ECS. I visited for the 2019/2020. I didn't like the fact the classrooms for PreK thru 2nd or 3rd are in the bottom of the school which reminds me of a basements. The classrooms have no windows and carpet. That was it for me. I did as you did, I kept my kid in daycare. This year she is eligible for PreK-4 and were going to send her to Catholic but my husband really wants a non-religious school. So with my flexibility at work, I will home school and revisit for Kindergarten. That being said, I have no clue what we will do for kindergarten. *smh*
