One league (DA) folded because of COVID-19 and other leagues formed or stepped up to offer new options.  Affected DA clubs scrambled to take care of their players and families when faced with this doubly unexpected hardship (pandemic and loss of league).

McLean, Loudoun, and VDA are all members of DMV United.  From the week leading up to the DA announcement amid closure rumors through today, a lot of ECNL people (clearly from these 3 clubs) have been activists on DCUM trying to take advantage of this hardship to attract players away from former DA clubs at a time when these clubs were most vulnerable.  Is that leveraging the hardship of former DA clubs?  Seems fairly obvious that it was and continues today. [/quote]

These 3 clubs should have communicated to their parents and coaches that their club would not try to leverage the DA league closure hardship during the COVID-19 crisis and discourage their parents and coaches from also doing so[/quote]
