Buying a house or a car are not the only ones. I don't know a benefit of having a low score. Credit card should help you get the score higher. They kind of go hand in hand and are not 2 separate things you have to do. Credit score calculate length of credit also. Not sure why you are wasting time. Better to have it and not need it, than not have it and need it. You have a debit card. Why not use cash at all times or still write checks?![/quote]
