Drive both and your will buy the Porsche.
Yep other cars are not really in the class with the Porsche. I did not understand the difference till we started testing driving.
I'm not a BMW fan or an SUV fan AT ALL, but Car and Driver insrumented tests show the X5 M dominating the Cayenne S on every single metric (road holding, breaking, 0-60, etc.): https://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/a28391254/2019-porsche-cayenne-s-by-the-numbers/ https://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/a15091562/2017-bmw-x5-m-instrumented-test-review/
X5M is at least $20-30k more than the Cayenne S
Uuuuhh. You can literally see in the info box at the bottom of their articles what the as-tested price was. It's true the X5 M is a bit more expensive but in this case it was $111k vs. $99k. 12k in that price range isn't a huge difference, especially when it's buying you better performance across the board.
You realize you linked a review of a 2019MY vs a 2017MY? If you go on cars.com and search within 40 miles of 20003 there's not a single X5 M right now under $123k. Cayenne S is $99-105k. As I said, X5M $20-$30k more.
