Rationing care is a good idea. In the US they intubate 90-year old Alzheimers patients and give them chemo when they get cancer. It destroys their quality of life but they make money out of it. I would much rather die peacefully at home.

We don't openly ration care, but it isn't true that everyone has access to the same care and drugs. That is controlled by the powers that be, and they do effectively ration it behind the scenes. My physician's prescribed drug for my child was denied, and we were forced to accept a worse drug (more side effects). Others can get the preferred drug. Feels like rationing. [/quote]
