Third here with a sunny and the peloton app and a $40 cadence sensor.
Which Sunny model do you recommend?
I started out using a Sunny bike with the Peloton app. I bought the SF-B1002 Sunny bike on Amazon, which is currently $299. It is a really popular bike for using with the Peloton app, there are lots of articles out there about it. I really liked the setup and used it for just under 200 rides. I had some issues with the bike though and had to replace a crank arm. Sunny has surprisingly good customer service, and they sent me a replacement part and directed me to a youtube video on how to do the replacement. A few months later though, I had to replace the same part again. Sunny sent me a new part for free, which I really appreciated. I ended up just biting the bullet at that point and bought the actual Peloton bike. I do prefer the Peloton, but the Sunny bike with the app will get you about 80 percent there. Clearly I liked the setup well enough if I was able to do almost 200 rides with it. Its a great way to get started with Peloton without the huge price tag.
