On my second Subaru in 20 years and have had none of these issues (and DH's family lives in the mountains and has had Subarus for as long as he can remember).  Sounds like you got a lemon or didn't maintain it properly.[/quote]

I admit it, I fell for their marketing bullsh!t. Twice.

Two lemons, ten years apart? With by-the-book maintenance?

No. They build shitty cars.

They work phenomenally well in snow. Period. That's all. Otherwise they're junk.

IMO, cars are going the way of appliances -- they don't build them like they used to anymore where they last 20+ years.
