They cut kids at my DD's age group for states.  The talent pool on her state team is good. Great showing against other states  at the NC and Va Friendlies. Just be because some  kids don't play ECNL/DA doesn't mean they aren't talented enough do so- there are other reasons.  And to head off your next comment- just because they had good showings doesn't mean the other state teams were sub par either.

As for the corruption and incompetence post, well you can read any string of posts about DA teams, ECNL teams and their coaches and TDs, etc on this forum and hear the same thing.  Sounds like everyone is in the same boat then![/quote]
