+1. She may actually be worried and sort of socially awkward and she's trying to get the message back to you that she thinks your kid might need testing. She might be completely wrong and know nothing about autism, but given that your kid does seemingly have some delays that could hypothetically be associated with autism, I wouldn't assume that she's being malicious. She's your SIL. If this is affecting you so much that you won't take up her offer of free babysitting, it is worth confronting head-on. Don't let this fester. Also, if your kid isn't autistic or anything close to it, an afternoon of babysitting might just end this once and for all.[/quote]
