Herndon has a strong girls program. FCV (DA) and Loundoun (ECNL) are reasonably close. MclLean (ECNL) and MU (DA) are also close.
Metro United is very player-centric and relatively free of parent drama.
You may want to read through some of the MU threads before heading over there... Hardly drama free.
Most of the drama is surrounding the 05 team. The rest of the club is in better shape. The 06 team faces a lot of public drama, but as a team, the parents and players get along. And they all understand that next year, that team will be reorganized into age appropriate teams. The older teams are all pretty drama free. The 03 team is a decent team. The 04s had to recover from two years of crazy big rosters, but have gotten their momentum back. The 02/01 group is an odd situation talent wise, because it went from being one of the best in the area in terms of talent to losing most of that. However, the parents are good people and the girls get along. So yeah, as a club, it's pretty drama free.
05 team is doing pretty well this season. Middle of the pack in their league. Seems like an improved program if your kid wants to do DA
