Schools have their own discretionary budget, and choose to fund whatever academic contests they deem appropriate. My kid's AAP center doesn't do CML, but all kids in 6th grade advanced math took AMC8. There are quite a lot of different contests out there, and each school is going to pick and choose whichever ones they want to do. [/quote]
