As someone else said, $110/month might sound expensive, but you have to do the math.. Assuming a person comes to your house and spends an hour there + materials + travelling/equipment costs.. It isn't cheap, nothing is. A plumber just showing upto your house can cost $150+ just to look at something.

The other option is to DIY it, which I opt to do. While there might be some people who know what they're doing around here in terms of lawn care, there are a whole lot who don't have a clue.

Once you get your lawn in decent shape maintaining it comes down to 3 rounds of fertilizer apps a year (use good quality stuff), a pre emergent app (or 2), spot spraying weeds ~3 times a year, and aerating/overseeding every couple years. [/quote]
