True.  But when the population is predominantly people of color it's harshly criticized as a cess pit and people frown.  When the population is predominantly white people it's sympathetically described as an industrial area and people smile.[/quote]

I was intrigued and looked up big city mayors online:

Many more Dems than Reps across the board but Republican mayors include San Diego, Fort Worth, Jacksonville, Omaha, Colorado Springs, Oklahoma City etc, which aren't known for being riddled with opoids. But boring white collar cities. Miami, though, is an interesting one. But looks likely due to the Cuban presence. [/quote]
