Former FCPS teacher here (who left before retirement age for many reasons that had nothing to do with $).    If they have been teaching for a long time, they have seen the job they started at change into something different entirely that is way less fun, way more stressful, and not worth the money after a certain point.

If they were eligible for retirement that would give them enough $, they may have left in order to do something more meaningful with their time.

Or maybe (like me) there were family considerations that made leaving full-time work the easiest solution possible to the problems they are facing.

In any case, it is absolutely NONE of your business---maybe they left for a job where everyone won't be second-guessing their personal decisions.[/quote]
