How much pottery barn furniture does one have to buy to notice this and care?
You sound poor.
LOL! You probably believe you are right too! Not the PP but yes Pottery Barn furniture is low quality with a high price tag. The furniture is cheap composite, engineered woods, P, a wood veneer that the has a pressed finish on top of it. MDF is also used on most pieces. When the furniture gets chipped you can see that what chips of is the pressed veneer layers exposing the soft cheaper wood underneath. It’s the same way ready to assemble furniture is produced and no different fromIkea except that Pottery Barn already assembles the furniture for you.
