As for recommendations your daughter should try to find alumnae, although it really varies how much it matters. What can matter more, again depending on the school or chapter, is knowing someone who is an active member, such as from your high school. [/quote] Here is the UVA info page as an example. There will be variance by school but the process is pretty much the same. The biggest difference, IMO, are between schools where rush happens in August, before first-years have even taken a class, and winter rush.[/quote]
