I commute by metro, which is largely wonderful. Only drive the car on weekends for grocery shopping or schlepping kids to lessons or play dates or playgrounds. Plus occasional long-distance trips. We have a basic, standard car - Hyundai Sonata. It's a good size, gets good gas mileage, is sturdy, but nothing flashy. Great car. We've had it 7 years and it's going strong.[/quote]
