Inspectors are scam artists. I have had them put a rejection sticker on my car for something that is not a part of the safety inspection regulations which meant I had to spend another hour + $16 getting it reinspected somewhere else. Other common scams are telling you your headlights are out of alignment or you need to purchase a new gas cap from them in order to pass. [/quote]

None, but when you can simply drive your car with a rejection sticker to another shop and pass with any of the above issues, it is clearly a scam. Maybe it's different out in the rural areas where people drive beaters bur around here it's just a cash cow for shady gas stations. [/quote]
