I know this kind of volunteering happened a lot when I was young (and the seniors in our church did love having people visit) but you’re right that health comes first and it may be different now/in a big city. Sorry for the fail suggestion. :-([/quote] With the flu outbreaks we've been having as well as other illnesses, as well as the staffing challenges many nursing homes face (especially around the holidays), many nursing homes now recommend small children stay at home unless absolutely necessary (e.g., to visit a dying grandparent).[/quote]
