There will be boys playing HS soccer who never played before HS. That goes for football and Lax as well. I have a DS who was very quiet went to a small private til 8th grade. Never played club anything. After his first grade neighborhood coach didn’t play him in soccer or T ball (same guy). Didn’t think my son was aggressive enough. My DS Walked on to his his school soccer team and varsity lax freshman. D1 college and he wasn’t the only one. If he’s asking for a break that’s a good thing. He was comfortable enough to ask for help. while sports are great who cares? More important for this young man to do well in school and not be worried. [/quote]
