If it gets to the point where you are going to litigate, one of the parties is probably unreasonable. Not sure if it is you or not, but anything can happen once the decision is in front of a judge.

I litigated, it ended badly (shift in custody), and in the end it was about who was willing to lie about stuff (I wish I had). No maltreatment or danger to the child - two involved parents who had very different ideas of how that child should be living. Child is now an adult and I feel sad at how much the shift in custody impact their relationship with me.

If you are seen as being uncooperative by the judge that could be twisted to allowing other parent to have sole legal and physical custody. You should mediate and figure it out w your ex unless you want to risk a trial - also super expensive, btw.[/quote]
