Give as many or little gifts as you want and don't worry about what anyone else thinks or does. My kids are getting less gifts than previous years since they are getting older and the gifts are more expensive. You really needs a point system and formula to figure out if your christmas morning has the appropriate amount of giftage. How does 2 video games, a board game and a book rank against a go pro? I mean, it's only one $400 gift. These threads every year on every message board on the internet are so stupid. Yet here I am...
Well little kids love the magic of lots of little gifts while older teenagers are mature and appreciate one expensive gift, (go pro).
Teenagers still like the magic of christmas morning:) But that wasn't my point. Number of gifts means nothing. Smug parents claiming to only give their child 5 gifts are rolling up with a $200 Frozen 2 castle. That could easily be exchanged for 6 gifts. Then oh no! Smug parents have 11 gifts and that is way to many to be labeled as an instagram martyr.
