Years ago, my not-so-attractive friend was the AP of a slightly older guy. Not ugly, just not pretty or sexy even with makeup and hair done professionally. She was 29 and he was 40. We thought he was married to a frump. Turned out his wife was a local celeb and stunning! The DW was the high earner and a frequent traveler. It was pretty obvious to us that the DH really just wanted her and my friend was one of many attempts to get the DW’s attention. Sadly, she got pregnant and had a bad blowup with him and a miscarriage before she realized it.[/quote]
