Yes, if I also know them to be a responsible person. It is akin to drinking, in my opinion. Plenty of people who drink “regularly” are responsible.
I would not allow someone who drank daily to watch my child, either. What are they self-medicating so often? —grandchild of an alcoholic grandmother who allowed me to be abused while she got her afternoon G and T on.
I’m not really a drinker, but I know people who have a glass or two of wine each evening because they like the taste or it’s part of the wind down process. I don’t think drinking necessarily = getting drunk.
But doesn’t smoking or vaping pot = getting stoned every time? Why else do it?
I used to do it a lot, although I don’t at all anymore. I liked to do I before bed because it was relaxing and helped me sleep, in the same way that morning coffee is invigorating and helps me wake up. You have no idea how many daily users you know who are holding down professional jobs and raising families; it’s really common.
OP is asking about occasional babysitting. Do you ever leave your kids with their dad? If so, then Apparently you think he’s responsible enough to do what OP is asking about l. I’m married to one of them. He can perform his job, but he’s a shitty father when high. He might seem like a normal, functioning adult when sober. But lots goes on behind closed doors that you don’t know about. Impaired mental states are not conducive to good parenting. I would not want him to be the only parent home in the middle of the night in the event of a fire. That’s for sure.

No, I don’t leave them with him. He’s not allowed to drive either. All of you should thank me for that.
