But you’re taking on an assumed risk, with inherent dangers, for your kids that could affect them forever. If you are okay with the possible consequences, go for it. You have a cultural tie tonit, so it is more meaningful to you. I don’t, so my weighing of the risks/rewards is different from you.

No one is sending kids out alone with fireworks. There is plenty of supervision. No one is asking you to do anything you don't want to. But it doesn't automatically mean disaster if people choose to celebrate their culture.[/quote]
