Sparklers are dangerous.
Life is dangerous. Have done sparklers for years with no issues. Not OP but the question was where to get them.
Christopher Reeves rode horses for years with no accident. What’s your point?
Why don't you just go live in a cave then? Everything in life comes with a risk, even the mere act of getting out of bed.
But you’re taking on an assumed risk, with inherent dangers, for your kids that could affect them forever. If you are okay with the possible consequences, go for it. You have a cultural tie tonit, so it is more meaningful to you. I don’t, so my weighing of the risks/rewards is different from you. If your niece was badly burned on her hands and face, at her own home, would you continue to do the sparklers at your home?
No one is sending kids out alone with fireworks. There is plenty of supervision. No one is asking you to do anything you don't want to. But it doesn't automatically mean disaster if people choose to celebrate their culture.
