Cured with a mini-tummy tuck (no muscle involved, super fast recovery) and then running 3+ times a week for at least 3 miles. For reference, I’m several years post C-section, slightly overweight (but well proportioned) and late 40s when I had surgery
Who was your doctor and what was the recovery like?
Dr Roger Oldham in Bethesda. Recovery was rapid. Day one I took tylenol around the clock, felt fine, and was sore only when getting up from a chair or rolling over in bed. Day 2, no NSAIDs at all, no soreness unless getting up from a chair, getting into my tall SUV, etc. By Day 5 I had called the MD's office to ask if I could resume cycling with a Spanx-type abdomen garment. The key is that no muscles are involved in a modified abdominoplasty. Just skin and fat. I do have a hip-to-hip scar from the stitches.
