So, I was engaged to be married in my early 20s. Before we could wed, my intended died. Before she died, she told me that she would contact me if she could; she was...superstitious and I"m a scientist. I said ok, fine b/c I didn't think she'd die, of course, but she did. After death, she contacted me a couple of times a year. I accepted the contact and sort of "rolled with it". When I had my second child, I was home alone in the kitchen. She came to me again and "said" (in a very loving way) I'm done visiting you. You have a great life, a great family and I'm happy for you. And she left. I haven't been visited since. This is (midnight) the 23rd anniversary of her death. RIP XXX.

I share this story b/c as a scientist, I think it was my brain processing...but I liked it. I also like thinking about her this time of year. It's happy/sad. I wish she lived but I've got a good life and I hope she watches me like the Truman Show. [/quote]
